Shiro Cosmetics and me!!

Well, here we go folks. My first blog. I was tempted to post a blog telling you a little about myself but had second thoughts. I wanted my readers to get to know me over time and see the wide range of likes and dislikes I have with my make up addictions. So on to my first review...

I got really excited when I found out that Shiro Cosmetics released a hobbit collection and I made sure to order 3 of the colors that stood out to me the most with my first ever order from Shiro Cosmetics. I am pretty pleased with the shipping. She did warn that there was a 2 week delay due to the new collections release so I wasn't in a hurry to check the mail box every single day hoping for my package of new goodies. They arrived on the 2nd week and I did receive a notice that they had shipped but unfortunately it had been sent to my spam folder.

Here is my haul, yes I only ordered samples:

I am very happy with the colors that I choose. I have two that I will be ordering full size jars of and possibly one more once I get a chance to do a look with it.  I was also happy to find a perfect dupe of a color I had ordered from Lime Crime last year since Lime Crime no longer carries it.

First up: There and Back Again: A Hobbit Collection

I'm pretty impressed with the collection although I find that there are a lot of browns in this collection and while brown is my go to for a normal everyday look, I love to see lots of color options.

There and Back Again: (left) Listed as an emerald green. I can agree to an extent but it looks more of a grassy green to me. It's very pretty and will work great for my St. Paddy's look.

Attercop, Attercop: (middle) I really really wanted to like this but no matter what I do I can't seem to find a matte black that appeals to me. Love the deep blue. Would probably be more appealing to me foiled.

The Wandering Wizard: (right) I am in love with this matte grey! It has a cool blue undertone and I can not wait to create something wonderful with this color. Will be ordering a full jar of this one.

HOWEVER I did find something exciting!! There and Back Again is an almost dead on dupe for Lime Crimes Mischief Managed! There and Back Again has a little less sparkly sheen but I'm actually pretty okay with that. Not only did I find a color that I think has been discontinued but even if it wasn't I would buy from Shiro. Check out the comparison below!

So stoked about that one!

Now, the not so new samples I ordered:

The Fullmetal Collection:
The Truth: Listed as a creamy opaque white, I some what agree and can be build-able to that but I will probably apply this lightly for a highlight.

Equivalent Exchange: I am in love with this color! This will be a full jar color for me. Looks much darker in the baggie but I was not disappointed once I swatched it. It's a grey-purple with some purple blue sparkles. Good slip! So excited for this one.

Last but not least...

From the Badger-Mushroom-Snake collection I purchased the Mushroom sample. I am loving this color for fall and while it's only March I will be putting that one off until August or September. It is such a gorgeous orange red color and has some yellow sparkles. It's not as copper as I thought it would be but I'm loving it.

I received a free sample from the Tributes Collection. Huntress- I actually expect some fall out from this one. It had good slip but felt heavy when I swatched it. It has bright silver sparkles. I'll be playing with this one because I haven't decided if I like it or not. I'll update on it later.

Well that's it folks. My first blog, my first review, and the first time I get to introduce myself. I hope it's been pleasant. :)  I have so many more reviews floating around in my head and will hopefully get the chance to put fingers to keys soon.I've included the link to Shiro Cosmetics below. They have some amazing colors and I will be ordering more samples when I order my full jars of the colors I've fallen in love with. If you buy, please tell her I sent ya! ;)
